Job Details

This is a Lead Sanitation position whose primary responsibility is to maintain the overall Sanitation of food contact surfaces, public areas, and infrastructure in their respective department. This position ensures all sanitation is accomplished according to established procedures, schedules and assigns employees to meet department demands, and ensures documentation is completed as required.

Requirements:

1. Responsible for scheduling sanitation employees on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
2. Ability to understand, follows, and implement Sanitation policies and procedures.
3. Assist in preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for Sanitation Department.
4. Participate in line supervision of Sanitation employees; reports problems, needs, and concerns to Sanitation Supervisor. Ensures all required documentation is being completed as required.
5. Receive work orders, prioritize, and delegates responsibilities to Sanitation Technicians.
6. Coordinates run schedule with Quality Assurance Department to minimize downtime.
7. Ensures all lines meet required sanitation standards by monitoring and cleaning all machinery as required. Ensures reject product is disposed of correctly in an orderly manner.
8. Monitors all tasks of Sanitation Technicians to ensure all are completed as required.
9. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Required Skills of the Position:

Education and/or Experience:

Previous experience working around processing equipment preferred. Have the ability to acquire a forklift license.

Language Skills:

Exhibits effective oral communication skills when communicating with supervisor and co-workers. Works well with others and communicates in a positive manner. Reads, comprehends, and performs the QA cleaning instructions on each line as required.

Work Environment:

Shows an ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs. Able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods and follows safety precautions. Utilizes cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safelyPhysically able to climb stairs repetitively and carry loads up stairs when required. Able to work different shifts.
