Job Description
The Idaho Falls Temple is seeking to appoint a part-time Office Clerk. This is a permanent part-time position located at Idaho Falls Temple, and the successful candidate will be required to work from this location. This position reports to the Clerical Lead.
The purpose of the position is to provide administrative services to help accomplish the mission of the Church. The Office Clerk provides key support for Temple operations, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical functions.
Responsibilities
Tasks may include:
- Assisting patrons in-person, over the phone and/or via email
- Maintaining specialized records and files
- Scheduling Living and Proxy appointments
- Answering questions and inquiries
- Resolving discrepancies and navigating complex problems and issues
- Preparing reports
- General office and administrative services
- Ability to multi task
SCHEDULE:
Working shift work Tuesday through Saturday 5:30 am to 9:30 am. Work schedules may be adjusted during maintenance closures, as needed.
QualificationsRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of applicable experience
Intermediate office skills including moderate research abilities, knowledge of the operation and maintenance of standard office equipment, and basic familiarity with standard office software sufficient to create or modify spreadsheets and word processing documents
Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
Ability to work under general supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time, moving about the office to deliver mail and other items, and using computer monitors/equipment.
