Visit our Benefits Guide for more information: Benefits Guide You will Work with an experienced data team to submit accurate data for federal, state, and other reporting as needed.Help run campus reporting processes like course evaluations, surveys, etc.Help professionals across campus to ask clear research questions, brainstorm on ways to get to the most accurate answers and execute the data plan.Be an integral part of CEI's data visualization team, helping to make data clear, accessible, and contextualized so that administrators can make data-informed decisions.Serve as a liaison with our IT department and others, coordinating technical projects as needed.Report to the Executive Director of Institutional ResearchPerform other job-related duties as assigned.Typical Job Functions:Data Extraction and Analysis: Retrieve data from various sources using SQL queries and data extraction tools.Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and completeness, primarily in Excel.Perform data validation and quality checks to identify discrepancies or anomalies.Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain interactive reports and dashboards, primarily using Tableau and Informer 5.Design visually appealing data visualizations to effectively communicate insights.Customize Tableau reports to meet specific departmental and institutional needs.Study results and share insights with key stakeholdersFederal, State, and Other Reporting: Compile and prepare data for federal, state, and other reporting requirements.Ensure compliance with regulations and deadlines for reporting to government and other agencies.Keep abreast of changes in reporting requirements and update procedures accordingly.Data Integration and Transformation: Merge data from disparate sources to create a unified dataset.Transform data to match the required format for reporting and analysisProficiency with Excel and SQLExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with data visualization tools like TableauIncumbent must reside in the State of Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor H-1B Visas)Bachelor's degree in data analytics or similar fieldExperience with Ellucian products including Colleague, Informer 5, and othersExperience with governmental, grant, and other reportingBilingual (Spanish)___________________________________________________________________________________Physical Demands and Work Environment:Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motionsOn-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.Background Investigations:Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
