About The Role
The underwriting organization is responsible for underwriting new life applications with a focus on delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Underwriting team members provide medical and financial risk assessment on applications for individual life insurance applications. The Director, Life Underwriting will accurately assess medical and financial risk, protecting mortality results while supporting sales. The role requires a customer-centric and relationship-focused attitude, excellent communication, and accountability for accurate and prompt processing. This position reports to the Managing Underwriting Director and will work with Case Managers, Internal & External Wholesalers and NMOs/Firms.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $118,000 to $128,000 (CA, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT, WA) at the commencement of employment. The actual compensation offered will depend on location, skills, experience, and other qualifications. The position is eligible for a discretionary bonus under the applicable incentive plan.
