Casa Volunteer Recruiter

The CASA Volunteer Recruiter is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit, engage, and retain qualified community volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for children in the child welfare system in the 7th Judicial District. This position works closely with program leadership, staff, and community partners to ensure that recruitment efforts align with organizational goals and the needs of children in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Outreach
  • Develop and implement year-round volunteer recruitment strategies.
  • Represent CASA at community events, fairs, service clubs, businesses, schools, and faith-based organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand recruitment opportunities.
  • Coordinate presentations, information sessions, and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of CASAs mission.

Marketing & Communications

  • Collaborate with staff to create recruitment materials, including flyers, brochures, and digital content.
  • Manage social media, website, and other outreach platforms related to volunteer recruitment.
  • Track and evaluate the success of recruitment campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Volunteer Engagement

  • Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries and guide potential recruits through the application process.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer prospects, applications, and community contacts.
  • Support volunteer retention through recognition, communication, and ongoing engagement opportunities.

Program Support

  • Work collaboratively with CASA staff to identify specific volunteer needs.
  • Assist with special projects, events, and fundraisers to promote CASAs mission.
  • Provide reports on recruitment activities, community outreach, and volunteer retention.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Public speaking experience and confidence in representing CASA in the community.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Marketing, outreach, or recruitment experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and Microsoft Office (or Google Suite).
  • Passion for CASAs mission and commitment to advocating for children in foster care.
  • Must be 21 years old, pass background checks, and remain in good standing for the duration of employment.

Work Environment:

Combination of office, community, and occasional evening/weekend work.
