Include:Support and implement the Nuclear Safety Program, which includes requirements management, identifying and implementing improvements to current procedures and processes, performing programmatic assessments, and conducting Laboratory-wide training associated with nuclear safety requirements. Responsible for 10 CFR 830 by performing nuclear facility safety analyses in accordance with DOE regulatory and company quality standards. Prepare and maintain nuclear facility safety basis documents, including documented safety analysis (DSA) and technical safety requirements (TS - Rs). Support implementation of the new and revised DS - As and TS - Rs for nuclear facilities to ensure that TS - Rs and DSA commitments are adequately implemented in facility procedures. Develop controls that are both effective and most easily executed by operations. Ensure high quality, technically defensible products are submitted to the DOE for review & approval.
