Position Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a new and emerging nuclear market? We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Project Controls/Scheduling Manager to lead planning and scheduling efforts for complex engineering and construction projects, including those in nuclear or DOE environments. This role requires deep expertise in Primavera P6, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and advanced reporting tools. The successful candidate will oversee schedule integration, cost tracking, change management, and team leadership to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively. U.S. Citizenship is required due to facility‑specific clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate cost and schedule data/baseline with the company's enterprise system to facilitate project financial goals, or oversee this effort.
  • Lead effort for tracking budget, project costs, labor hours, schedule updates, installed quantities, and progress measurements for work to include direct hire and subcontracted work.
  • Maintain planning/scheduling updates, applying engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule. Assess impacts of design or construction changes and schedule delays. Report schedule status to all levels of project and company management as well as to the client.
  • Prepare reports, graphs, and charts to communicate project status.
  • Support the project team with change control management processes. Support project with pricing and determining schedule impact of change orders.
  • Perform critical path and time impact analysis to document current conditions and change management on the project.
  • Lead a team focused on work packaging. Ensure all work packages support construction sequence.
  • Analyze work progress and craft productivity reports; use this analysis to update project forecast.
  • Responsible for managing design quantities and incorporating any changes from estimate into all quantity, cost, and schedule reporting.
  • Manage a project controls team, including schedulers, cost analysts, and a discipline‑focused Advanced Work Packaging Planning team.

Qualifications – Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, finance, or another associated degree.
  • Relevant work experience in lieu of degree considered.
  • 5–10 years of experience.
  • Motivated, detail‑oriented, and flexible.
  • U.S. citizenship and facility‑specific clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present planning and scheduling products. This includes independent development of products with minimal supervision using professional judgment and knowledge related to engineering, procurement, and construction practices.
  • Previous Earned Value Management System experience.
  • Previous nuclear or DOE experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to direct and manage a team to achieve project goals.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 with a strong understanding of scheduling fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
