Job Details

Include:Conduct research in areas of specialization. Work with chemicals in a safe manner, following work control processes. Plan and execute programmatic research. Work with other scientists and chemists in the development of experimental designs and execution of experiments. Establish and develop new methods and instrumentation that advance science in area(s) of specialty. Prepare research papers/reports and technical research proposals. Publish in both classified and unclassified peer-reviewed journals. Write and submit research proposals that solicit new research and development activities or provide critical services. Provide programmatic and technical leadership to various groups in area(s) of specialty. Assist management in the identification of growth areas and the development of department roadmaps that in turn focus strategic investments in facilities, equipment, and most importantly, human capital.
