ROLE SUMMARY:
The Resident Engineer out of Idaho Falls is a member of the Senior Management Team. In this role the ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership capabilities, experience partnering and working cross-functionally, and the ability to build and execute a strategic plan. Additionally they will:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for facility capital project management and execution. Duties include equipment design and modification, scoping, scheduling, bid letting, cost tracking, contractor management, organization of project update meeting with regular communication, entry and approval of capital project SAP requisitions
Responsible for ensuring new equipment is set up in SAP, setting up preventative maintenance procedures for equipment install during projects, managing safety orientations and contractor compliance with safety plant policies
Responsible for local systems network support and maintenance. Act as plant contact for IBS trouble-shooting when necessary.
Responsible for all aspects of Biological Treatment System (BTS) operation and maintenance, manage and develop BTS coordinator position and monthly reporting.
Responsible for all utilities into the facility. Utility KPI owner.
Champion and promote VPO tools to achieve KPI targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, GAP analysis, MCRS meeting schedules and action logs, 5-Why's, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.)
Owner of Maintenance Pillar for VPO means/results
Accountable for day to day Maintenance operations
Accountable for annual plant maintenance budget adherence and monthly report out of budget status
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years industrial project management
Minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing management
3+ years leadership experience preferred; Demonstrated leadership and change management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage a 24-hour / 7-day a week continuous operation.
Highly effective communication skills focusing on coaching and development.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, team orientation, and technical / problem solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of process support and maintenance engineering.
Working knowledge of Utilities usage and Engineering
Familiarity with budgeting and cost accounting.
Effective computer and problem solving skills.
Strong mechanical, electrical, chemical, and IT knowledge
Ability to relocate for future career opportunities desired
Background in brewing, brewing maintenance, or malting helpful
