Job Details

Include:Prepare technical specifications and performance criteria for hardware and software purchases and upgrades. Facilitate selection, planning, testing, and installation of operating systems and related support software (e.g., monitoring, database, communications, etc.). May assist in procuring technology related equipment/systems, hardware and software and supporting vendor contracts. Develop and review operating procedures and train staff on their use. Carry out performance monitoring and capacity planning for the hardware and software. Perform troubleshooting and consultation for users. Provide problem identification and resolution (including documentation), coordinating these activities with management, vendors, and DOE. Keep management informed of new features/functions of hardware/software and how they can be used to support work objectives. Provide education to other organizations on selected hardware/software operations.
