Part-Time Remote School Psychologist Role in Nevada

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Remote School Psychologist to support K12 students in Nevada through virtual services. In this role, you will conduct assessments, participate in special education eligibility decisions, provide mental health consultation, and collaborate with educators and families all in a remote environment.

The ideal candidate has strong assessment skills, is knowledgeable about IDEA and Nevada state regulations, and is comfortable delivering services virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments.
• Analyze data and write comprehensive, legally compliant reports to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide virtual counseling and behavioral support services to students, as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement academic and behavioral interventions.
• Support implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
• Maintain accurate records, comply with IDEA, FERPA, and Nevada state laws.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nevada School Psychologist license issued by the Nevada Department of Education.
• Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), Masters, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in school settings preferred.
• Prior virtual/teletherapy experience is a plus but not required.
• Must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work with students in Nevada.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong skills in psychological assessment, data interpretation, and report writing.
• Familiarity with Nevada education laws and special education compliance.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with virtual platforms (e.g., Q-interactive, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
• Able to work independently and manage caseloads in a remote setting.

Technology Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet and secure, distraction-free workspace.
• Computer with webcam and microphone.
• Experience with digital assessment tools and HIPAA/FERPA-compliant platforms.
