About the Role:

The Benefits Manager will serve as the strategic leader and subject matter expert for CrowdStrike's US and Canada retirement plans. This role encompasses design, implementation, compliance, and day-to-day management while partnering with HR Business Partners, Regional Senior Leaders, and employees to deliver exceptional retirement benefits.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Program Management

Program Development: Evaluate and recommend retirement program enhancements to ensure competitive positioning, regulatory compliance, and alignment with CrowdStrike's benefits philosophy

Market Intelligence: Monitor legislative changes, industry trends, and best practices; proactively recommend program modifications

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate benefit programs to employees and leadership to maximize understanding and appreciation

Vendor Management: Manage relationships and contracts with retirement plan vendors, consultants, and service providers

Employee Education & Engagement

Educational Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive employee education initiatives to ensure retirement programs are fully understood and appropriately valued

Communication Strategy: Develop multi-channel communication strategies including webinars, workshops, written materials, and digital resources to enhance program awareness

Financial Wellness: Partner with vendors and internal teams to deliver financial literacy and retirement planning education to employees

Enrollment Support: Provide guidance and support during open enrollment periods and new hire onboarding to maximize participation and engagement

Operational Excellence

Process Management: Ensure operational excellence through periodic audits and systematic quality controls between ADP payroll, plan recordkeeper, and Workday

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with HRIS, HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, and Finance teams to optimize system integration and program delivery

Financial Management: Budget planning, cost tracking, and invoice approval to ensure timely vendor payments

M&A Support: Provide retirement plan expertise for due diligence and lead integration activities

Special Projects: Support ad-hoc initiatives and special projects as needed

US Retirement Plans

401(k) Plan Management: Lead design, compliance, and operations for the 401(k) Plan and Executive Deferred Compensation Plan

Governance: Prepare materials and facilitate quarterly 401(k) Committee meetings

Implementation: Execute approved plan, investment, and provider changes

Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance including plan document updates, annual nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and audit coordination

Canada Retirement Plans

RRSP/DPSP Management: Oversee plan design, compliance, and operations for the Canadian retirement programs

Governance: Lead and maintain documentation of plan governance meetings, compliance and investment reviews with advisors and administrators

Compliance: Ensure adherence to CAP guidelines, maintain current plan documents and member booklets, manage pension reporting requirements and ITA limits

What You'll Need:

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

5+ years of progressive experience managing US and Canada retirement plans

Technology industry experience preferred

Professional certifications (CPA, CEBS, QPA, or similar) preferred

Experience developing and delivering employee education programs

Experience with mergers and acquisitions in the benefits context

Knowledge of international benefits coordination and compliance

Technical Expertise

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US ERISA, DOL, and IRC Section 409A regulations; proficiency with Canada CAP guidelines and Income Tax Act requirements

Systems Proficiency: Workday HRIS experience preferred; strong benefits administration and recordkeeping system capabilities

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and retirement plan metrics

Project Management : Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlines

Communication : Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation capabilities and ability to translate complex regulations into clear guidance

Relationship Building : Demonstrated success building trusted partnerships across all organizational levels, both internally and with external vendors

Adaptability : Ability to reprioritize effectively and perform under pressure while maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Confidentiality : Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee data with the highest level of discretion and integrity

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $110,000 - $160,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
