Job Details

Provides respiratory care to patients as assigned by the Hospital policies and procedures and also given on the physician's written or verbal order for both in-house and out-patient care. Consults with the physicians regarding the respiratory care delivered to his/her patients. Responsible for the safe and effective administration of medically prescribed medications, knowing their indications and contraindications. Knows and follows the indications and contraindications, the policy and procedures in administering therapeutic modalities to include: IPPB, IS, USN, HHN. Gauges are to be checked each shift to assure proper working condition. Broken gauges are to be replaced immediately, broken gauge placed in container for broken equipment and marked. Sets up oxygen cylinders and assures proper usage and safety measures are in place. Performs bedside PFT tests.
