Business Analyst/Technical Analyst

What You Will Do
We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst/Technical Analyst to join our IT team supporting enterprise infrastructure and application modernization initiatives. This role combines technical documentation, business analysis, and technical analysis to support our cloud migration efforts and high-frequency transaction systems that power plasma donation operations across our network.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, documenting complex systems, analyzing requirements, and supporting the migration of mission-critical Java-based applications to cloud environments

Job Responsibilities
Technical Documentation

  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for enterprise systems, including WebLogic clusters, Oracle databases, and Java applications.
  • Produce detailed system architecture diagrams, data flows, integration maps, and API specifications.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, technical manuals, SOPs, and system runbooks.
  • Manage version control and organization of documentation repositories.
  • Support DevOps efforts by documenting CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
Business Analysis
  • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders across IT and business units.
  • Facilitate workshops and requirement sessions to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses between current and future states and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Define use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development and validation processes.
  • Experience working in a GxP environment.
Technical Analysis
  • Analyze existing applications for cloud migration readiness
  • Assess technical dependencies and integration requirements
  • Review and document current application architectures
  • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Support cloud migration planning and execution
  • Collaborate with architects and developers on technical solutions
Cloud Migration
  • Document cloud migration patterns and best practices
  • Create migration playbooks and checklists for application teams
  • Analyze applications for cloud readiness and document findings
  • Support DevOps teams with documentation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Document cloud architecture patterns including microservices, containers, and serverless implementations


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of combined experience in technical writing, business analysis, and/or technical analysis roles in IT environments.
  • Experience in enterprise systems, particularly Java applications, WebLogic clusters, and Oracle databases.
  • Hands-on experience supporting cloud migrations or modern application infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong documentation skills including use of Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical systems into digestible documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
