Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work in our Secure Operations department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off.
You will perform landlord technician services to help maintain secure facilities; this includes janitorial services, operation of cleaning equipment, yard equipment, snow removal equipment, weed control equipment, and an industrial paper shredder. Consult with engineers, work planners, and operations personnel on landlord maintenance issues and associated equipment. Perform furniture moves and assembly, meeting setup and take down. Assist mechanical and operations technicians. Work is performed to maintenance work orders and laboratory instructions. You will report to the manager for Secure Operations department.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires the operation of job-related equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required.
