Pricing Actuarial Analyst Lead

As a pricing actuary analyst on the Special and Recreational Lines Pricing team, you'll coordinate advancing our research initiatives and improving the accuracy of our ratemaking tools. In this role, you'll apply established and innovative techniques to uncover deeper insights and refine pricing strategies. You'll also develop predictive models to enhance or replace existing tools, analyze large datasets to answer business questions around rate levels, and drive impactful results independently or as part of a collaborative project team.

Must-have qualifications

  • A minimum of eight years of analytical work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of seven years of analytical work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of five years analytical work experience.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation or higher
Preferred skills
  • Prior Personal Lines ratemaking experience
  • Proficiency with R/Python and SQL; navigating and working with large and/or complex data sets including the ability to join together several sources effectively.
  • Experience building models for uses beyond class plans.
  • Able to present analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience balancing business objectives with actuarial standards.
Compensation
  • $102,800 - $146,900 / year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive program up to 40% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance.
