The Solution Architect (Contractor) plays a key role in designing and documenting end-to-end solution architectures that enable secure, scalable, compliant, and efficient enterprise systems. This role closely partners with technical SMEs in application development, system integration, cloud adoption, infrastructure, and identity management initiatives - ensuring consistency, security and performance across the enterprise ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design

• Lead architecture design to support new solutions, modernization, and integration across multiple systems.
• Ensure architecture patterns support scalability, resilience, and performance requirements.
• Develop reference architectures, design blueprints, roadmaps, and technical documentation to guide implementation.

Application & Integration Solutioning

• Conduct solution options analysis to evaluate design alternatives, considering cost, performance, maintainability, scalability, resilience and compliance.
• Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
• Support application development teams with architectural guidance on modern application design, APIs, and microservices, both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Promote best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
• Guide teams in using appropriate design patterns and reusable components to improve consistency and efficiency.

Team Engagement & Collaboration

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leadership, providing insights on emerging technologies and architecture trends.
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure technical designs align with project objectives.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in solution or enterprise architecture, with hands-on technical design background.
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, application architecture, and enterprise integration.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, including networking, compute, and storage in hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with API design, microservices, and DevOps pipelines
• Experience with identity management (Azure AD/Entra, SSO, OAuth2, SAML) and security architecture.
• Experience with web and mobile development.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
