Meet the team:

The Director, Global Clinical Program Management, provides strategic leadership and operational excellence across Dexcom's worldwide clinical portfolio. This leader will drive the development and execution of complex global clinical strategies from early study design through international site activation, enrollment, and study closeout, ensuring Dexcom generates high quality clinical evidence across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.

A key focus of this role is the ability to build and mentor a global Clinical Program Management organization that operates effectively across regions, cultures, and health-system structures. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands on international experience, deep understanding of global regulatory pathways, and the ability to guide teams and partners across North America, Europe, APAC, LATAM, and emerging markets.

Where you come in:

  • Strategic Global Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

    • Provide strategic direction for Dexcom's global clinical programs, ensuring alignment with regional regulatory expectations
    • Partner with regional clinical, regulatory, and market teams to ensure study designs meet global submission and commercialization needs.
    • Serve as a key member of cross functional leadership teams, ensuring clinical strategy is harmonized across international markets.
    Global Clinical Program Development & Execution
    • Lead the full lifecycle of Dexcom's international clinical trials, including feasibility, regulatory approvals, site contracting, activation, and execution across geographically diverse regions.
    • Ensure global enrollment strategies account for cultural, regulatory, and site infrastructure differences.
    • Drive delivery of high quality evidence by managing global timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
    Team Leadership Across Regions
    • Build and oversee a multinational Clinical Program Management team, equipped to support trial execution across multiple time zones and diverse healthcare systems.
    • Mentor and develop global talent; promote cultural awareness and regionally sensitive leadership behaviors.
    • Establish scalable processes that support clinical program operations in the U.S., EU, APAC, LATAM, and other regions.
    International Vendor, CRO & Partner Oversight
    • Lead the selection and oversight of global CROs, AROs, and international vendors, ensuring regional expertise and operational excellence.
    • Negotiate global scope, budget, KPIs, and performance expectations across multinational partners.
    • Monitor CRO performance and ensure adherence to international regulatory and quality standards.
    Operational Excellence & Global Compliance
    • Maintain strong understanding of worldwide clinical regulations, guidelines, and emerging international standards.
    • Ensure consistent, compliant execution of clinical programs across diverse regulatory and cultural environments.
    • Drive global program metrics, dashboards, and cross regional reporting structures.
    Key Opinion Leader & Investigator Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with international investigators, KOLs, and advisory groups.
    • Ensure global clinical insights shape Dexcom's protocol design, evidence strategy, and product development roadmap.
What makes you successful:
  • Experience leading global clinical studies, including multi country, multi regional trials
  • Global clinical project/program management with direct experience navigating international regulatory bodies and ethics committees
  • Demonstrated success building and managing global teams in diverse geographic settings
  • Strong understanding of global GCP standards and international medical device regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage global CROs and vendors supporting Class II/III medical device trials.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with ability to influence across cultures and organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of intersectional requirements of partnering with Commercial, Access, HEOR
  • Experience in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) or diabetes related medical device trials a plus
  • Prior leadership of IDE, PMA, and 510(k) submissions, as well as CE Mark / MDR requirements a plus
  • Experience expanding clinical operations into new global markets a plus

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • 15+ years of industry experienceTypically requires a Bachelor's degree with
  • 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry


Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
