SUMMARYA Diesel Service Manager oversees the daily operations, staff, and financial performance of a diesel repair shop or service department, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.KEY RESPONSIBILITES and DUTIES-Team Leadership: Hiring, training, mentoring, and scheduling diesel technicians, as well as conducting performance reviews.-Operations Management: Scheduling repairs, managing workflow, ensuring quality control, and maximizing shop productivity.-Customer Service: Acting as the main point of contact for clients, resolving complaints, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.-Financial & Administrative: Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, managing parts inventory, andmeeting profit and loss objectives.-Safety & Compliance: Enforcing OSHA, EPA, and manufacturer safety standards to ensure a secure, compliant work environment.-Technical Support: Assisting technicians with advanced diagnostics and complex repairs.REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:-Experience: Generally 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel repair, with previous leadershipor supervisory experience preferred.-Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, anddiagnostic tools.-Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to meet performance goals.-Communication & Organization: Strong customer service, interpersonal, and scheduling skills.-Education: Vocational training or a degree in diesel technology preferred.-Pre-employment: Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening.Comprehensive benefit plan:-Employee referral program-401k matching-Medical insurance-One time per year Optometrist visit-Paid time off-Aflac & LegalShield (paid by employee)WAGE:Depends on experience.
