Job Details

Meets with all self-pay patients or responsible party within 24 hours of admission or next working day, whichever comes first. Give assistance in completing Medicaid, Social Security or County assistance applications. Reviews, investigates, and contacts all patients and/or guarantors classified as self-pay. Listens compassionately and actively to questions and concerns of the patients and/or family and friends. Able to interrelate and communicate with physicians, medical staff, attorneys, and other professionals. Provides responses to patient and/or family members with concerns to insurance coverage and payment of deductibles and co-insurance. Educates, informs, and assists patients and/or family members as to the follow up requirements and standards of related agencies. Assists patient and/or family in establishing a payment plan compliant with the hospital credit policy.
