Description:

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager for a remote opportunity. The Candidate will lead and coordinate enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk programs, partnering with security engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and governance teams to support control assurance, regulatory readiness, and ongoing risk management initiatives.

Required Qualifications of the Cyber Security Project Manager:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, IT risk, or information security initiatives
  • Prior experience working with or supporting CISO-level organizations or enterprise security leadership
  • Strong background in cybersecurity domains such as identity and access management, network security, cloud security, and infrastructure controls
  • Experience coordinating with firewall, network, and security engineering teams
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and cloud security concepts
  • Experience supporting IT risk management functions including control assurance, risk assessments, and governance activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and regulators
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities in a complex, fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Cyber Security Project Manager:
  • Experience working in financial services, or other highly regulated industries
  • Background in IT infrastructure, systems, or security engineering prior to transitioning into program/project management
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity maturity frameworks and enterprise risk frameworks
  • Experience supporting control assurance programs, digital risk assessments, and IT policy/standards development
  • Experience managing issues tracking, KRIs, risk calendars, and enterprise-level reporting
  • Exposure to large-scale transformation or integration programs
  • Project management certification such as PMP or equivalent
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a plus
Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Project Manager:
  • Lead and coordinate cybersecurity and IT risk program activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, cloud, and IAM teams to support execution of control and risk-related initiatives
  • Support regulatory and audit engagements, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external examiners
  • Manage program documentation, reporting, and tracking of risks, issues, milestones, and deliverables
  • Oversee development and maintenance of IT risk artifacts such as policies, standards, risk assessments, and control frameworks
  • Facilitate communication with senior leadership by preparing presentations, status updates, and risk reporting materials
