We are on a mission to provide marginalized individuals and families with excellent clinical care and close the gap within marginalized communities.SummaryResponsible for performing substance use disorder assessments, participating in and contributing to interdisciplinary treatment and discharge plans, and providing individual and group counseling services. The LADC will carry out the 12 core functions and all other counseling duties identified by Minnesota statute 245G in individual and group settings, supporting anti‑oppressive/anti‑racist and trauma‑responsive practice in all interactions.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesComplete assessments and treatment plans utilizing ASAM criteria and sound clinical writingFacilitate intake, orientation, group activities, individual counseling and family counseling for clients in the programManage an individual caseload not to exceed 13 clientsFacilitate 8-9 virtual groups per weekMeet with 50% caseload for 1:1s each week (update TPRs)Minimum of 12 Treatment Coordination units per weekTreatment Coordination for each 1:1 no-showBack up for virtual comprehensive assessmentsWork closely with clients to engage them in decision‑making and help them understand the benefits of assessment and accessing appropriate levels of careCollect and review referral information upon assignment of clients from the referral source and consult with others as needed to support coordination of services and scheduling of client interviewsCoordinate with the Intake Coordinator as needed to contact clients to confirm appointment dates, times, and assessment locationsCollect information from collateral resources to aid in determining diagnosis and need for treatmentWork collaboratively with client funding sources to obtain initial authorizations for reimbursement for intervention and recovery support servicesWork cooperatively with the legal system to ensure coordination of services including court appearances when appropriateComplete paperwork requirements and maintain quality, up‑to‑date clinical records, including outcomes survey information and invoicing; enter necessary data into the EMR systemAttend and participate in staff meetings with other staff membersPrepare and facilitate lectures and educational materials related to substance use disorder for the entire client population and family members as assignedTrain new staff and supervise interns as neededOther related duties may be assignedQualifications/ExperienceBachelor's degree in alcohol and drug counseling270 classroom hours in alcohol and drug counseling curriculumCompletion of 880 hours of alcohol and drug counseling practicumKnowledge and experience using Procentive2+ years of experience as a LADC / SUD AssessorStay current regarding professional research, techniques, etc.Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain an active LADC licensure statusAttend in‑house training and staff meetingsIntersectional lens, cultural humility, and awareness of own areas of privilegeStrong interpersonal skills including strong oral, written, and listening communication abilitiesTime management, initiative, and organizational skills required to be successful in this rolePresentation and training skillsAbility to work independently and engage effectively as a member of a multi‑disciplinary teamAppreciate and participate in a positive, passionate work cultureEngage and support cross‑training opportunities in relation to professional growth and agency needsStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilitiesProficiency in cultural competency and sensitivity in treatment deliveryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesAdministratively supervises 1‑2 ADC interns. Workspaces include office areas for administrative and counseling tasks, group therapy rooms for facilitating sessions, and other environments such as courtrooms or legal offices when coordinating with the legal system.Work EnvironmentThis position emphasizes client‑centered care with a focus on anti‑oppressive, trauma‑responsive practices.
