SUMMARY

At IHC Specialty Benefits, the Agency Growth Manager is the face of our distribution organization in the field. This role is built for someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and helping producers find the right solutions for their clients. The Agency Growth Manager is responsible for recruiting and developing independent health insurance producers and agencies across a defined territory introducing them to SB's individual health (ACA), small group, self-funded, short-term medical (STM), dental, and ICHRA product lines, and guiding their adoption ofINSXCloud's industry-leading Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) platform. Backed by a dedicated support team, the Agency Growth Manager's focus remains on territory growth and producer development. Fluency in voluntary benefits as strategic coverage complements required. This is a base plus production bonus opportunity. The base salary range is $75,000 to $90,000, with total earnings potential of $120,000 and above. We are currently seeking candidates in Florida and Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, target, and pursue high-potential independent producers and regional agencies within your territory, executing recruitment strategies based on market composition, producer profiles, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent SB at regional industry events, broker associations, and networking opportunities to build brand presence and source new producer relationships.
  • Clearly articulate SB's value proposition to prospective and contracted producers through one-on-one, in-person field meetings, presentations, and consultations.
  • Lead all aspects of new producer recruitment - from initial outreach and value proposition presentation through contract execution and licensing facilitation.
  • Deliver field-based product training on SB's full portfolio, including ACA, small group, self-funded, short-term medical, dental, and ICHRA programs, coaching producers on sales techniques and platform usage to accelerate production ramp.
  • Drive adoption of INSXCloud's Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) platform among all newly recruited and assigned producers.
  • Execute a structured transition of stabilized producer relationships to the Broker Success Specialist team, maintaining focus on new producer development.
  • Coordinate with Support Coordinators to ensure contracting, administrative, and compliance tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Meet or exceed established quotas for net-new producers recruited and aggregate production volume generated by your recruited base.
  • Guide producers in using voluntary benefits (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity) to close HDHP and ACA coverage gaps through deductible mitigation and cost-neutral plan strategies.
  • Advise producers on excepted benefit status, ERISA applicability, and COB rules to ensure voluntary product recommendations preserve HSA eligibility and ACA compliance.
  • Equip producers to present voluntary benefits as essential coverage complements not upsells within Silver-tier and high-deductible plan contexts.
  • Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.
TRAVEL
  • Up to 75% this is a field-first, territory-based role. The majority of work is conducted in person at producer locations, industry events, and across the assigned region.
REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5+ years of experience in health insurance sales, broker distribution, or field-based business development.
  • Demonstrated track record of new business development and producer or client acquisition - this role requires a hunter mentality.
  • Previous experience working with and presenting a variety of health plan types and insurance products, including individual health, small group, self-funded, short-term medical, and ancillary benefits.
  • Strong in-person presentation and consultative selling skills; ability to engage and persuade in a field environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based presentation tools.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple producers and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and projects.
  • Current state health and life insurance producer license preferred.
  • If hired, attainment of insurance producer license and certification to enroll plans on Healthcare.gov (FFM Certification) within 6 months is required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred, given regional market demographics.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
  • The base pay range for this role is $75,000 - $110,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
  • Employees in this role are eligible to participate in the Agency Growth Manager production incentive bonus program. Total potential compensation varies by production - base salary and bonus opportunities can add up to $120,000/yr. with potential for more.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) and Paid Time Off.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
  • If hired, attainment of insurance producer license and certification to enroll plans on Healthcare.gov (FFM Certification) within 6 months is required.
  • Certificates or designations from industry organizations such as LOMA, AHIP, or AICP highly desired.
