The CTMS Business Analyst is responsible for providing high‑quality calendar builds and accurate financial entry services for site clients who use a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) for clinical research financial oversight and patient enrollment management. Accurate and timely CTMS service deliverables are essential to meet increasing demands on research sites and to reduce study activation timelines, directly affecting site funding.

The expected base salary range for this position is $73,350‑$114,000, which may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.

Responsibilities

Build and enter calendars and financials in the CTMS platform, incorporating site client requirements and ensuring consistency with clinical trial protocols, sponsor budgets, and agreements.

Read, analyze, and interpret clinical trial protocols to develop comprehensive CTMS mapping plans.

Collaborate with internal WCG teams and site clients to ensure billing determinations and clinical trial agreements align with protocols before building calendars or entering financials.

Revise deliverables to align with amendments and changing client preferences.

Review work completed by others as part of the internal quality review process.

Provide exceptional customer service through industry expertise, guidance, and frequent communication.

Consultatively solve problems with WCG and site client teams to obtain consensus on best practices.

Perform attendance, time management, and related functions as required.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; comparable experience and education may be considered.

Coverage analysis and research budget development experience preferred.

Ability to work in a performance‑driven environment with proactive, results‑oriented, and goal‑oriented approach.

Strong ability to read and interpret complex clinical trial protocols.

Prior experience building calendars and entering financials into a CTMS platform.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and investigative and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills.

Preferred but not required: familiarity with the clinical trial start‑up process, oncology calendar builds, and financial entry, and familiarity with research billing guidelines (e.g., Medicare NCD 310.1) and general healthcare billing processes.

Physical and Sensory Requirements
Work activities involve light to moderate physical effort, including sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, lifting lightweight objects, and frequent keyboarding. A high level of concentration on sensory inputs and detailed work accuracy is required.
