Position SummaryThe Software Developer I must have foundational knowledge of software development practices and will use that knowledge to create functional and maintainable solutions to well-defined technical challenges. The software this person creates, as part of the Software Development Team, will enable Mascoma Technologies to meet business needs and maintain a technical competitive advantage in the financial industry.The Software Developer I will take direction from the Software Development Team Lead. This position requires a commitment to quality and attention to detail.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with the rest of the software development team to design and produce software that meets Mascoma Bank's needs with regard to functionality, safety, and performance.Participate in team planning sessions concerning creation or modification of software.Write code (independently or with team members) that is clean, robust, and maintainable.Write automated tests to ensure continued proper functioning of software.Log work, decisions, and other relevant information in team tracking software.Participate in design and code review sessions.
