The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for the Configuration Management group is responsible for driving the design, governance, and operational excellence of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role partners closely with IT Service Management (ITSM), infrastructure teams, application owners, and platform engineering to ensure accurate configuration data, robust processes, and effective use of CMDB capabilities across the enterprise.
The Senior BSA will play a key role in maturing CMDB processes, implementing enhancements, analyzing data quality, and aligning CMDB practices with industry standards such as ITIL.
Monitor CMDB Data Quality & Health. Support & Troubleshoot CMDB Issues. Manage and Improve CMDB Governance. Work on Enhancement Requests. Maintain Documentation & Training. Drive Continuous Improvements.
Success Indicators:
- High CMDB data accuracy and compliance with governance standards.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and adoption of CMDB processes.
- Measurable improvements in ITSM/ITOM processes through better configuration data.
- Ability to proactively identify gaps and lead initiatives to close them.
Delivery of scalable, well?designed CMDB solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
Required skills: BA Degree
Years of experience required: 5+ Years experience
Disqualifiers: Cannot communicate effectively
Additional qualities to look for: Technical CMDB expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a process?driven, analytical mindset.
