Cost Accounting Manager - Remote

We are currently looking for a Cost Accounting Manager - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of the TOPS Finance team, driving the monthly and quarterly closing activities, managing audits, and overseeing inventory management. Yourexpertise will play a crucial role in fostering productive relationships, improving processes, and solving complex problems in a detail-oriented manner. We seek someone with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, proactively contributing to the success of our financial operations.

Accountabilities

• Manage all inventory transactions for US produced products including raw material purchases and plant inventory transactions.
• Oversee full product cost accounting including standard setting, variance analysis, and inventory reserve management.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure a robust internal control environment to minimize SOX and financial reporting exposures.
• Assist with local and global ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience or equivalent.
• Strong skills in technical accounting, communication, and teamwork.
• Cost Accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and internal controls is essential.
• Prior experience with SAP is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP and Excel.
