Description

The Vendor Management & Risk Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the ORNL Federal Credit Union's vendor oversight and risk management functions. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with contract and policy management by managing the vendor universe, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining quality standards. Additionally, the role provides secondary support to the Risk Management & Business Continuity function on small-scale risk and business continuity initiatives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Vendor Management: Assists in maintaining and organizing the vendor management universe. Reviews contracts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards. Performs quality control and assurance checks on vendor documentation. Monitors vendor performance and adherence to contractual obligations. Supports reporting activities related to vendor management and contract compliance.
  • Risk & Business Continuity Support: Provides assistance with risk management tasks, including data collection and analysis. Supports small-scale Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) activities. Collaborates with the Risk Management & Business Continuity leadership on process improvements and documentation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience

Three or more years of experience in vendor management, contract administration, or risk management required. Familiarity with compliance standards and quality assurance practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with vendor management systems is preferred.

Education

Associate's degree in business administration, Risk Management, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience is required.
